We are a State of Florida licensed general contracting firm that builds custom residences, commercial buildings and remodels homes and condominiums. Our base of operations has been in Key Largo, Florida since 1981. We perform all types of construction-related activities. We maintain a workforce in-house that is capable of bringing any type of structure from out of the ground to final trim and finish work. Our crews are well versed in the structural requirements for proper construction of buildings that meet code requirements necessary to withstand Category 5 Hurricane wind pressures and wave action that structures are frequently exposed to in the Florida Keys.

In 1992, Hurricane Andrew brought devastation to South Florida. Immediately thereafter, Cary Construction Corp. provided construction activities in North Key Largo and Homestead, Florida required for clean up of damaged homes and businesses in the strike zone. We continued to provide plans, permitting and construction services required for repair/reconstruction of the numerous damaged structures as needed by our client base. Some of the notable reconstruction projects completed at that time include hurricane repairs to numerous homes and condominiums located within the exclusive Anglers Club and Ocean Reef Club resorts located in Key Largo, Florida. Additionally, we worked in the Homestead area performing hurricane reconstruction activities to homes and completely reconstructed the Supreme Oldsmobile GMC Truck automobile dealership, which was devastated by the hurricane.

Hurricane Andrew brought numerous changes to area building codes. These changes are primarily of a structural nature, and are now incorporated into building codes throughout the east and gulf coast states, that are subject to periodic strikes from the Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Mexico borne Hurricanes. At Cary Construction, we have kept abreast of the numerous code changes and are capable of conducting hurricane-related repairs and general construction of structures required for any areas of the world that are subject to hurricane exposure.

We maintain a fully staffed office at Cary Construction Corp. and utilize a very thorough construction accounting system/software program, practices and procedures. From 1981 to December of 2006 our office was located in Ocean Reef, north Key Largo, Florida. Currently our office is located on the second floor of the Pink Plaza Shopping Center in Key Largo, Florida.

Notable projects include construction of the Key Largo Chamber of Commerce in 1996, and the addition and remodeling of Regan Insurance Agency in Tavernier, Florida. We have also built numerous custom residential homes, additions, and remodeled numerous homes in the private Ocean Reef Club. Recently, we have built additions to condominium buildings that are located in the Ocean Reef Club; we have completed an addition to and remodel of Angelfish Cay Condominium No. 3 Building D, and a complete addition and remodel of Angelfish Cay Chalets Condominium No. 4 Building 3. At Angelfish Cay Chalets No. 4 Building 3, we added to the front, rear and sides of the existing building, completely replaced the roof structure and are completely remodeling the existing units. Both of these condominium projects include common area improvements such as landscaping and installation of brick paver driveways and walkways. We also recently performed the design and construction of Riva Yamaha South’s dealership in Key Largo, Florida and completed conversion of the old Key Largo Walgreens into seven new stores that are located in the Pink Plaza Shopping Center.
